What drives the cost for a Niagara business

The plan you need depends less on your revenue than on how many separate markets you are trying to win at once. Four factors matter most here.

Number of municipalities. One crew serving St. Catharines and Thorold is one plan of work. A firm covering all twelve municipalities, each with its own town pages, profile work and campaigns, needs more hands-on time.

Customer types. Residential, hospitality and absentee-owner customers each need their own pages, messages and campaigns. Running hospitality account marketing alongside residential search is real extra work.

Seasonal swings. Businesses with a sharp peak need more management during it: daily budget checks, quick changes to ads and faster reporting.

Starting point. A business with no tracking, an old site and a neglected profile needs more set-up work in the first months than one that only needs tuning.

A worked example: is it worth it?

Take a Welland plumbing and drain company. Its average job is $480, gross margin is 50%, and it closes 55% of the leads it answers.

  • Margin per lead: $480 × 0.50 × 0.55 ≈ $132
  • Growth plan on annual billing: $1,499 a month
  • Leads needed just to cover the plan: $1,499 ÷ $132 ≈ 11–12 leads a month

If the plan, plus a sensible ad budget, brings in 40 extra leads in a typical month, the margin on those leads is about $5,280. After the plan fee and, say, $1,800 in ad spend, the business keeps roughly $1,980 a month, before counting repeat customers and referrals. If the plan can't plausibly beat the break-even number for your business, we'll tell you in the first conversation.

Replace the numbers with your own. The calculation takes two minutes and is the most useful thing you can do before talking to any agency.

How to choose a plan

  1. Start with Growth if you serve a handful of nearby municipalities, mostly residential customers, and want one or two channels done well.
  2. Choose Elite if you serve several customer types, want ads and local search running together across the region, or need a new website at a reduced price.
  3. Consider Enterprise if you run multiple locations or brands, compete in the busiest tourism districts, or want a team that behaves like an in-house marketing department.

Annual billing saves 25% on the Growth plan, so it is worth considering once you have seen a full season of results and trust the plan.

What is never included

  • Advertising budgets, which you pay to the platform directly
  • Trade work of any kind; we are a marketing and consulting service, not a contractor
  • Legal, licensing or compliance advice, including short-term rental rules; those questions go to your municipality, regulator or lawyer

Frequently asked questions

Is there a long-term contract?

No. You pay one month at a time, and 30 days' notice ends the arrangement. Annual billing lowers the monthly price if you'd rather commit for the year.

Does the plan price include ad spend?

No. Advertising budgets are paid directly to Google or Meta from accounts in your name. The plan covers strategy, setup, management and reporting.

Is HST included?

No. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and Niagara businesses add Ontario's 13% HST on top.

Can I change plans between seasons?

Yes. Moving up a plan ahead of a busy season and back down after it is a reasonable approach for a seasonal business. We plan any change in advance so the work keeps its momentum.

Is the first consultation really free?

Yes. Eligible trades businesses get a free 30-minute initial consultation, separate from any paid plan, with no obligation to sign up.
