Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Our Growth plan is $1,999 monthly, or $1,499 monthly if you choose annual billing, with 13% HST added. Elite and Enterprise plans cost more and cover more channels. Ad spend is separate and paid to the platform directly.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. Every plan runs month to month, and leaving takes 30 days' notice. Annual billing is optional and lowers the monthly price.

How soon will I see more calls?

Paid search can produce calls within the first weeks. Local search and town pages usually take a few months, longer in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls than in the smaller towns. We set expectations in writing at the start.

We tried an agency before and it didn't work. Why would this be different?

Ask what was measured last time. If the reports showed clicks and rankings instead of calls and booked jobs, nobody could tell what was working. We start from your margins and report in jobs and cost per job, so you can judge us on the same numbers you run the business on.

Who owns the website, profile and ad accounts?

You do. Domains, websites, Google Business Profiles, ad accounts and tracking are set up in your name or transferred to you. If you leave, everything stays with you.

Can you promise a ranking or a number of leads?

No. Nobody controls Google's results, and lead volume depends on your market, prices and how calls are answered. We agree targets, explain how we'll pursue them and report honestly when we miss.

What reporting will I get?

A monthly report showing calls, texts, booked jobs and cost per job by town and channel, plus what we changed and why. In your peak season we check in more often.

Do you work with tourism businesses directly?

Our clients are the trades and service firms that serve them. We help a refrigeration company win hotel accounts, for example, rather than marketing the hotel itself.

Are you a contractor or a lead-referral service?

Neither. We don't install, repair or service anything, and we don't sell leads. We are a marketing and business consulting service for the businesses that do the work.

Do your results come from Niagara?

Our published case studies are results from our HVAC work, not Niagara or other-trade results. We use them to show the method and say clearly which lessons transfer.

Can you help with licensing or short-term rental rules?

No. We link to the relevant regulator or municipality, but compliance questions belong with them or with your own lawyer.

Do you work with businesses outside Niagara?

Yes, through our parent brand Trades.Agency, which serves trades across Canada. This site focuses on the twelve Niagara Region municipalities and the nearby areas Niagara crews also serve.

Questions about money

Price is usually the first question, and it should be. Our plans run from $1,999 to $7,999 a month month-to-month, or $1,499 to $5,999 a month on annual billing, with 13% HST on top. Your advertising budget is extra and goes straight to Google or Meta. The pricing page breaks down what each plan covers and includes a worked break-even example you can redo with your own numbers.

A useful test before talking to any marketing firm: divide the monthly fee by the margin you make on an average lead. That tells you how many extra leads a month the plan has to produce just to pay for itself. If the answer looks unrealistic for your business, say so on the first call.

Questions about trust and control

Owners who have been burned before tend to ask about contracts and ownership. Both answers are simple. There is no long-term lock-in; plans are month-to-month with 30 days' notice. Everything we build or manage, from the website and domain to the Google Business Profile and ad accounts, is in your name.

That matters more than it sounds. It is common for a business to learn, only when switching agencies, that its profile or website was registered to the previous firm. If you're unsure who controls your accounts today, check before you sign anything with anyone.

Questions about timing in a seasonal region

Niagara's calendar affects how fast anything works. Starting paid search in March, before the summer peak, gives time to test and fix campaigns before the expensive months. Starting local search in late fall means pages and reviews are building through winter, ready for spring.

If you start at the peak, results come faster but cost more, and there is less room to experiment. Our seasonal marketing calendar guide lays out the timing month by month.

Questions about what we don't do

We don't do trade work, give compliance or legal advice, sell your leads or promise rankings. We also don't build a page for every hamlet in the region just to look busy. Our local search service explains why fewer, stronger town pages work better.

Questions about who we work with

We work with owner-led trades and service businesses across all twelve Niagara municipalities, from one-truck operators to multi-crew firms. The common thread is that the owner wants to understand the numbers, not just receive a report.

We are probably not the right fit if you want a one-off logo or a social media post schedule with no link to calls and jobs, or if your schedule is already full for the next year. In those cases we'll say so and, where we can, suggest what to do instead.

Questions about reporting and communication

You get one monthly report in plain language, with calls, texts, booked jobs and cost per job by municipality and channel. It opens with what worked, what didn't and what we'll change next month. During your peak season we check in more often, because a week of wasted spend in July costs far more than one in February.

You can call, text or email between reports whenever something changes: a technician leaves, a new van arrives, a big commercial account comes in. Those changes affect how much work we should be bringing in, so we want to hear about them.

Still have a question?

The about page explains who is behind the site, the results page shows what our HVAC work has achieved, and the contact page tells you exactly what to send so the first conversation is useful.
